About Jacqueline

Good Citizen is the creation of Los Angeles based Pilates instructor and Latina entrepreneur, Jacqueline Hinton. Jackie is a multi-disciplined performer, professional dancer, choreographer, and actor with a B.F.A in Dance from the University of Texas, where she first discovered Pilates. After graduation, Jackie moved to Los Angeles to pursue her professional career performing in television, stage, and film, and completed her Pilates certification through the Physical Mind Institute on all Pilates Apparatus and Pilates Matwork. While getting her certification, Jackie imagined a cleaner healthier Pilates world—that's when Good Citizen was born.

With over a decade in the Pilates industry—and over two decades in the dance world—Jackie's unique understanding of the Pilates, dance, and fitness world is well-rounded. Having taught Pilates and danced in Los Angeles for over 20 years, Jackie's eye for creating a better way to enjoy the practice of Pilates came about in the form of this innovative new Pilates lifestyle brand. 

Giving back to her community is very important to Jackie. As a longtime member of the Junior League of Los Angeles, Jackie has had the opportunity to work with several non-profits, sharing her love for Pilates and dance, including the Mar Vista Family Center, Children’s Institute Inc., Coach Arts, and M.O.S.T.E., as well as traveling back to her hometown of Austin, Texas, to volunteer her time to work with the Northeast Early College High School Nightline Dance Team (formerly the Double R Drill Team). Good Citizen continues to actively donate to several organizations throughout the year.
